ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

The first committee of the General Assembly, also known as the Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), was established in 1946 as a part of the United Nations Organization. It’s main aim is to find solutions to topics such as disarmament of chemical, biological, nuclear weaponry and international security. As a General Assembly Committee, cooperation is the key to providing solutions to the highest level. Each member state actively participates in order to resolve problems and cooperate while finding solutions to these matters. Every resolution is highly valued by the international committee.
