It is with immense pleasure that I, as the Secretary General, welcome you all to the sixth edition of HaydarpaşaMUN.

Thanks to the diligence and commitment shown by the best organization and academic team we could ever hope for, I am confident that you will find this year’s HaydarpaşaMUN enjoyable in every possible aspect. To be the necessary stepping stone for self-improvement regarding all participants and to honor the legacy our upperclassmen have left behind; we have been working incredibly hard to make sure that our conference will be of the highest caliber. As a result, we became aware of the importance of one specific word.

Hope, is the thing that gives our lives purpose and keeps us going forward whether things go well or poorly. It’s what you hold dear to your heart, what you hope the future to hold, and what tomorrow might bring. That is why we are pleased to say that this theme is the basis of our 12 committees where many perspectives will meet with the goal of creating an uplifting environment, fruitful debates, and finding solutions for pressing world issues while connecting with one another.

Lastly, on behalf of the Secretariat and our team, I hope that by the end of the fourth day, you will have made many unforgettable memories which you will reminisce fondly; just like we did.
